We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in the Houston area.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performs all general administrative assistant responsibilities including typing, filing, sorting, and distributing of mail and documents, ordering stationery and supplies, answering telephones, take messages, copying documents, making deliveries, sending documents by fax/scan, and fuels accounting activities
- Prepares, revises, reviews, and analyzes documents (reports, graphics, spreadsheets, tables, flow charts, organization charts, newsletters, etc.)
- Provides office support (i.e., makes meeting arrangements, makes travel arrangements, maintains office equipment, prepares expense reimbursement, support Procurement Department etc.)
- Participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility
- Ensures Company resources are used in a cost-effective manner
- Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinates special projects and reports for management
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them
- Communicates and coordinates activities with vendors, contractors, and other departments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-4 years' experience working in an administrative assistant position
- Experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
